The Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta received an academic visit from the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Study Program of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Held at the Dean's Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of the FITK Building on Monday (May 18), the visit aimed to share insights and strengthen the governance of the PPG program, specifically focusing on financial management, program evaluation, and accountability in drafting accountability reports.
The delegation from West Sumatra, led directly by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, Prof. Nurus Shalihin, M.Si., Ph.D., was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Sigit Purnama, M.Pd. Also attending the meeting were the Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs of FITK UIN Padang, leaders of the Internal Audit Unit (SPI), and the management teams of the PPG Study Programs from both State Islamic Universities (PTKIN).
"This meeting serves as a valuable platform to exchange good practices among state Islamic higher education institutions to enhance the accountability and adaptability of teacher professional programs. Beyond financial management, this collaboration is part of a strategic framework to solidify the excellence of our respective PPG programs, enabling them to produce professional educators who are competitive and globally recognized in the future," stated the Dean of FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga in his remarks.
Meanwhile, the representative of the UIN Imam Bonjol Padang delegation, Dr. Jum Anidar, M.Pd., noted that FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga's proven track record and extensive experience in managing large-scale PPG programs were the primary reasons for choosing the campus as a benchmark. The delegation expressed hope that the technical discussions could soon be implemented to improve program governance efficiency within UIN Padang.
The meeting, which took place in a warm and dialogue-driven atmosphere, featured technical presentations, an in-depth Q&A session regarding financial risk mitigation, and an exchange of perspectives on improving PPG service quality. The event concluded with the presentation of tokens of appreciation and a group photo session, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening sustainable academic and institutional networks between the two universities.
