Student Organizations

Intra-Campus Student Organizations

Student organizations essentially serve as miniature laboratories of society that cultivate emotional intelligence, persuasive communication, and crisis management through real-world interactions. These experiences forge adaptive leadership qualities that cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence. In this era of disruption, the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) is fully committed to serving as a facilitator and mentor, ensuring that student activities remain grounded in scholarly and ethical standards. This commitment aligns with the Dean's leadership vision for the 2024–2028 period: consolidating excellence toward global recognition. By upholding merit-based governance that diminishes practical political polarization and by providing supportive oversight, FITK takes the responsibility to foster a healthy space for dialectics. This effort aims to produce driving agents of change who are not only organizationally mature but also excel, remain balanced, and stay competitive in the academic realm.

FITK Student Executive Council (DEMA-F)

The Faculty Student Executive Council (Dewan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas / DEMA-F) at FITK is an intra-campus body that exercises executive functions at the faculty level. This council is tasked with executing student work programs and implementing the resolutions passed by the Faculty Student Senate (Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas / SEMA-F) as its legislative partner. In addition to serving as a bridge for student aspirations regarding academic policies and facilities, DEMA-F functions as a coordinating body for all Departmental Student Associations (Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi / HMPS) within FITK.

FITK Student Senate (SEMA-F)

The Faculty Student Senate (Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas / SEMA-F) at FITK is the highest intra-campus body holding legislative and normative powers at the faculty level. SEMA-F serves as an equal partner to DEMA-F, carrying the responsibility to draft organizational regulations, oversee the execution of executive work programs, and deliberate on student budget allocations. Members of SEMA-F are student representatives from each department, elected through the student general election (Pemilwa). They operate through committees to perform the functions of legislation, oversight, and advocacy for student aspirations to the faculty management.

Departmental Student Associations (HMPS)

The Departmental Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi / HMPS) at FITK is a foundational intra-campus student body operating at the department level. As a grassroots organization, HMPS focuses on fostering academic development and specific competencies aligned with the respective field of study. Furthermore, this association serves as the primary forum for accommodating student aspirations regarding academic affairs before they are escalated to the faculty level, while playing a vital role in building solidarity and communication across different cohorts within the department. Postgraduate Student Communication Forum (FKMPs)

The Postgraduate Student Communication Forum (Forum Komunikasi Mahasiswa Pascasarjana / FKMPs) at FITK is an organizational platform that brings together Master’s (S2) and Doctoral (S3) students. Distinct from undergraduate student organizations, this forum focuses on strengthening the academic climate and advanced research competencies. It organizes research methodology workshops, writing seminars for reputable journal articles, and academic conferences. Serving as a strategic partner to the faculty administration, the forum bridges communication across postgraduate departments and channels members' aspirations regarding academic services, publications, and professional network development.
