International Conference on Religion, Science, and Education Kicks Off: "Harmonizing Horizon" Located in Convention Hall UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta on November 20th, 2024, under the title "Harmonizing Horizon: Navigating the Convergence of Religion, Science, and Education for a Sustainable Future"

FITK held its 4th conference convened, bringing together leading thinkers and practitioners to explore the crucial intersections of three vital fields, those are; Religion, Science, and Education. The conference opened with a powerful welcome address from the Vice Dean of Academics Affairs, Dr.Andi Prastowo, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I. who emphasized the urgent need to bridge the perceived divides between religion, science, and education, arguing that a holistic approach is essential for creating a sustainable and equitable future.

The Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Istiningsih, M.Pd. followed, outlining practical strategies for integrating these disciplines, suggesting that collaborative projects and interdisciplinary curricula could foster a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the world's complexities. Interconnect General Sciences, Religious Science, Education and sustainability is important to be discussed for several reasons as is addresses complex and multifaceted Global challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective. Talking about the religion, is clearly the main task of this University, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

Also the Vice Rector leave a message that Religion Science, General Sciences harmonizing both, integrated both, and sustainability it is a crucial dialogue for the 21st century by exploring the interplay of these domains we can foster solutions that are not only effective but also equitable and meaningful. It is essential for shaping a future that respects both human and environmental well-being, rotate and knowledge at ethics and responsibility.

The conference featured a diverse line-up of speakers. The first speaker, an expert in physics education, Prof. Jung Bog Kim from Korea National University, delved into the importance of incorporating scientific principles into educational frameworks. He emphasized how an approach could enhance students' understanding of complex scientific concepts, ultimately preparing them for future challenges. His presentation sparked discussions on the necessity of engaging students not just through theory but also through practical applications.

The second speaker, an expert in the humanities, Dr. Claire Akouatli from Prince Sultan University and University of South Australia discussed the importance of incorporating religious and scientific literacy into humanities education titled “We Teach Who We Are”. She noted that by giving students a deeper understanding of religious traditions and scientific concepts, we can help them to be more empathetic and understanding of others, and to make connections between seemingly disparate fields of study.

Finally, Artrim Kjamilji, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Istanbul Commerce University the last speaker shifted the discussion towards the impact of cryptocurrency on modern education and society. He explored cryptography can serve as both a tool for economic empowerment and a subject of ethical debate, highlighting the need for educational institutions to adapt to these emerging technologies.

At the end, the moderator Dr. Paed. Asih Wisudawati concludes that in education, science and religion we cannot neglected Artificial Intelligent in education for our sustainable futures.
