Sharing Ideas and Experiences about Studying Abroad with AMU students from Indonesia

Thursday, August 21, 2019, from 20.00-22.15 at Guest House One, the FITK team met with AMU students from Indonesia. About 50 people attended this occasion. They were pleased because they met Indonesians in India. "It feels like meeting with your own family, so you can reduce the feeling of longing for your family a little," were comments or jokes from several students who attended.
The event was filled with brief introductions to all present, both students and groups from FITK. They come from different areas, such as Malang, Pasuruan, Aceh, Bandung, Jakarta, Jambi, Medan and Tangerang. Judging from the scientific fields taken at AMU, it is pretty diverse, such as linguistics, education, politics, computers and Islamic studies. On this occasion, the Dean of FITK, Dr. Ahmad Arifi, M.Ag., provide motivation, support, and hope that after studying in India, they can return to Indonesia to develop and bring about better changes for their beloved country because of Indonesia's progress and retreat in the future depend on the role of the youth today.
Before the event closed, they were allowed to ask questions or tell storieaboutto anything. Several students shared their experiences and impressions while in Indiecially at AMU. One is Cut Dinda Febrina from Aceh, taking the Department of Art, Concentrating on English Language Teaching for the master's level. He talked about his early experiences and challenges at Aligarh, ranging from the ability to speak English at the beginning of college to the most extreme challenges when the semester exams coincided with summer temperatures reaching 48ºC.
