MPI Study Program PLP Model Workshop during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Monday, August 30, 2021, the Islamic Education Management Study Program (MPI) of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held an activity called "Workshop on Educational Field Introduction Practice Model (PLP) Islamic Education Management Study Program."In this activity, MPI Study Program invited several speakers, namely (1)Muhammad Wahyuni Nafis, MA(Secretary of the Indonesian Madania Education Foundation), (2)Dr.Setya Raharja,M.Pd.(State University of Yogyakarta (UNY), (3)Dr. Sabarudin, M. Si.(Chairman of the Education Lab FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga), and (4)Dr. Zainal Arifin, MSI(Kaprodi MPI FITK UIN sunan Kalijaga) with moderatorNora Saiva Jannana, M.Pd.(Secretary of MPI FITK) and host M. Syafii (Secretary of HMPThe Head of the MPI Study Program, opened the activity.Zainal Arifin, who was also a resource person, conveyed the objectives and benefits of this PLP activity, especially for seventh-semester students who will carry out Integrative PLP-KKN activities.Integrative PLP-KKN activities in semester VII will be designed 3 in 1, which means that practical students can do PLP in partner institutions (pesantren, ministry of religion, LPMP) for two months, then continue with Real Work Lectures (KKN) as a form of community service. To the public for one month.Students can also research for their final project (thesis) in this activity.So it is hoped that after completing the Integrative PLP-KKN activities, students can immediately register for the Munaqasyah thesis.What we can be sure of is,
As the second resource person, Mr. Muhammad Wahyuni Nafis, MA, conveyed how to manage an international standard school.An exciting explanation from him is that international schools not only emphasize luxurious buildings, expensive tuition fees, use an international collaboration curriculum, and have international students, but also emphasize that students must have global insight, be tolerant and multicultural, and respect the local culture.
Dr.Setya Raharja, M.Pd as the manager of the Educational Field Introduction Practice (PLP) at the MP AP FIP Study Program Yogyakarta State University (UNY), said that PLP is intended to strengthen academic competence in education and fields of study through various forms of activities in educational institutions/government or schools.There are two scopes of work for PLP, namely (1) service units that take care of: administration, planning, and program preparation, financial management, personnel management, equipment management, program evaluation, or other fields of work and education management functions and (2) operational units that are managing, regulating the governance of primary and secondary education, community education, fostering the younger generation and sports, culture, as well as educational supervision and supervision activities.
Education together with other study programs. Dr.Sabarudin M.i, the head of the Education Laboratory of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Sunanthe Lab, coordinated the PLP activities of the MPI Study ProgramStudy Program. However, the difference between PLP MPI and other study programs is in the field of work.Suppose additional study programs emphasize teaching; MPI study programs focus on administration, management, technical services, and institutional development programs at partner institutions.PLP MPI Study Program is also integrated with KKN activities, so this course is called Integrative PLP-KKN with a weight of 8 credits. It is carried out for three months with details of 2 months for PLP activities at partner institutions and one month of KKN in the surrounding community. Depending on the student's condition, MPI student KKN activities can be carried out with other Study Program students, in PLP groups, or independently.This is because it is still in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, so the implementation of the Integrative PLP-KKN is systematically blended(online or offline).If offline, students are required to apply strict Health protocols.
The Integrative PLP-KKN MPI Study Program will be held in the Odd Semester 2021/2022; to be precise, Semester VII is still in a Covid-19 pandemic.So, Labs.Education with the MPI Study Program has compiled the book "Guidelines for Integrative PLP-KKN MPI Study Program during the Covid-19 Pandemic".This year, 9 locations are used as places for Integrative PLP-KKN, namely (1) the Directorate of Early Education and Islamic Boarding Schools of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, (2) the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of DIY, (3) the Ministry of Religion of Yogyakarta City, (4) the Ministry of Religion of Sleman, (5) Gunung Kidul Ministry of Religion, (6) Kulon Progo Ministry of Religion, (7) Bantul Ministry of Religion, (8) DIY LPMP Office, and (9) Joglo Alit Islamic Boarding School in Klaten.Hopefully, the MPI Study Program Integrative PLP-KKN activities this year will run smoothly, and the students will be given safety from all dangers.
