MPI Study Program Curriculum Workshop, 31 July 2019

The Islamic Education Management Study Program (MPI) Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Kalijaga was born in 2012, while the MPI study program curriculum was first formulated in 2013. In 2016, the MPI Study Program developed the 2013 curriculum into a KKNI curriculum based on the National Higher Education Standards ( SNPT) which adopts the curriculum from faculties, universities, national and MPI study program association curricula, namelythe Indonesian Islamic Education Management Study Program Association (PPMPI).

Curriculum development is essential so that MPI study programs can follow the development of science and technology. In the course of lectures at the MPI Study Program, which has been using the 2016 curriculum for two years, it is necessary to conduct a curriculum review to evaluate the implementation of the MPI curriculum based on the KKNI and SNPT, as well as prepare for the internationalization (regionalization) of the MPI study program.

On that basis, the Islamic Education Management Study Program (MPI) FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held a"Workshop Review of the MPI Study Program Curriculum"on July 31, 2019, at the University Hotel UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta to prepare for the internationalization (regionalization) of the study program by inviting severallecturers, students, alumni and the head of MPI Study Programs/Secretary Study Programs(S1-S3) under PPMPI Indonesia. This activity was supported by two expert resource persons, namely (1) Dr.Leni Sophia Heliani (GMU Quality Assurance Expert Team) and (2) Dr.Badrudin, M.Ag (Chairman of the Islamic Education Management Association/Perma Pendis, as well as the Head of S1 MPI Study Program at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung).

Alhamdulillah, the event was carried out smoothly by providing several recommendations, namely (1) developing an outcome-based oroutcome-based educationcurriculum, (2) participating in international and regional level external accreditations, such asthe ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN QA), (3 ) develop a curriculum that adopts ASEAN or international students, and (4) PPMPI and Perma Pendis associations need to build regional and international networks by holding regional/international seminar-level activities.(ZA)
