International Conference 21St Century Islamic Education

Academic experts must understand 21st-century education.On that basis, the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training faculty of UIN Sunan Kalijaga held an International Seminar on 21st Century Islamic Education in the Prof. building.RHA.Scenario, SH.UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Wednesday (5/12).
Chairman of the seminar committee, Dr.Istiningsih, said the seminar was important because knowledge about 21st-century education must be continuously upgraded by academics, such as lecturers, teachers, and education observers.
By knowing academic knowledge in the 21st century, he hopes that academics can immediately prepare themselves and anticipate future events.In addition, educators can adapt to the situation, conditions and environment in the 21st century."No matter how small the benefits of this seminar, it is still believed that the data will contribute to improving the quality of educators," said Istiningsih.
This international seminar was attended by lecturers and students of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, teachers and education observers.As for the speakers, several figures from several countries, such as the United States, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, were also presented.
Andi rose from Nagoya University, explaining that schools in Japan prioritize character education so that later the nation's culture will be well preserved. Their nation's character characterizes developed countries.
Another speaker, Indra Charismiadji, said that 21st-century education is based on computers, so educators, lecturers, and teachers are expected to adapt quickly to the computer generation.
The Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN, Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Ahmad Arifi, said that this activity was a form of campus towards World Class University."Proceedings or papers issued at this seminar are expected to color the scientific treasures, especially educational science in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0," he said.
