SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP BASED ON OJS DEPARTMENT OF MPI (ISLAMIC EDUCATION MANAGEMENT)

Scientific journals are the spirit of the existence of a university.One of the indications of the progress of a university is its ability to manage and manage scientific journals.Of course, the quality of journal management must also be balanced with active research by lecturers whose results are published in reputable journals, both nationally and internationally.
Current scientific journal management activities are directed online (online), so the dissemination and distribution of access are more comprehensive than in print journals.One management system that is widely used today is the Open Journal System (OJS).Through OJS, journal management is more organized and well-documented.
One of the critical aspects of journal management is the article editing process.In the current era of technology, the process of editing articles is doneonlineso that the 'trace' of editing is recorded in full.In addition, the process of editing essays and even applying for scientific periodical accreditation by Higher Education has been carried outonline.
Related to these developments, the MPI Department invites the managers of journals that have been accredited and have a good reputation, namely from AL-Jamiah UIN Suka, and the resource person is Ana; MSI is part of the Al Jamiah Team. OJS. This workshop aims to socialize and provide training to each journal manager regarding the process of managing scientific periodicals.
Ms. Ana also conveyed related to the technique of editing the substance of scientific periodicals.Then connected to the interests of journal accreditation, self-evaluation materials were presented, which discussed essential points that must be considered based on the self-evaluation form from Ristekdikti.Furthermore, in the last session, material related to the management of theonlinearticle publishing process discussed the use of the Open Journal System (OJS) program from the entry of articles to the publication.
