Two students from the Chemical Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, have achieved a significant accomplishment by being selected to participate in the Student Mobility program at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. Millari Cindi Alfinsa and Yusri Hajjo Dwipa will undergo an academic program and gain international experience for approximately one semester. Their departure on Friday, March 28, 2025, represents a significant step in expanding their academic horizons and strengthening international networks, offering them valuable learning experiences in a global setting. In addition to their academic activities at Prince Songkla University, the students will also engage in the Community Service Program (KKN) at Yannahwittaya School, Thailand, aiming to apply the knowledge they’ve gained in education and contribute to the local community. Their participation is the result of a rigorous selection process and full support from the university. The Dean of FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga expressed appreciation for the opportunity provided to the students, emphasizing that this program not only offers invaluable academic experience but also enriches their cultural understanding and enhances their skills as future professional educators.
This program is part of UIN Sunan Kalijaga's broader efforts to encourage students to gain global experience, improve their competencies, and understand the dynamics of education across different countries. The hope is that their involvement in this program will inspire other students to excel and seize international opportunities. Their participation serves as a concrete example that UIN Sunan Kalijaga students are competitive on a global level and ready to contribute to international education. The benefits of this program extend beyond the students themselves; it also strengthens the faculty’s global presence by showcasing the achievements of its students, enhances the academic environment through knowledge sharing, and fosters international collaborations with institutions like Prince of Songkla University. This initiative is part of a sustainable effort to ensure ongoing international exposure for students and create lasting partnerships that will further contribute to the global educational community.
