Yogyakarta , March 04, 2021. Tarbiyah Teaching (TSM) is a flagship program of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Monitoring and Evaluation of TSM are conducted offline (outside the network) in two locations in the village of Ngestirejo, Gunung Kidul Regency. The event was attended by the Monev Team consisting of Dr. Imam Machali, S.Pd.I., M.Pd., Dr. Ibrahim, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the chairperson in charge of implementing TSM, Setia Rahmawan, M.Pd., and Aprillyana Dwi Utami, S.Pd., MA, as TSM secretary, Asniyah Nailasariy, M.Pd.I., as TSM public relations officer and Bahtiar Arbi, M. Pd., as the TSM recruitment and socialization division.
The Money Team's trip to the location took two hours. Arriving at the location, the activity began by visiting the office of the Ngestirejo Village Head. A warm welcome was given by the Village Head, followed by an evaluation of the process and results of several TSM activities that have been carried out. Various positive appreciation from the community for the existence of this TSM program; according to the Village Head, TSM is beneficial for the community, especially in the field of Education. During this pandemic, several obstacles exist; not all students have gadgets and data packages. 80% of parents cannot accompany their studies because they have to work. Amid various problems, FITK UIN is here with its services in the field of Education, which is greatly affected by this pandemic.
The village head Ngestirejo added, "The community very well receives this TSM program, the implementation of the program for 10 days is felt to be lacking. We want it to be carried out for at least 3 months, because the children are very enthusiastic in learning. For 1 year, children lose the direct learning process. Children are thirsty for knowledge. In the future, we hope that there will be a continuous follow-up program."
The TSM program for the first period (Batch 1) was carried out in two locations, namely Dukuh Marico and Dukuh Mendang 3, in the village of Ngestirejo. Twenty students from various study programs at FITK participated in the TSM program, followed by five committee members and several facilitators with nutritional status and free from COVID-19. They always apply strict health protocols in every activity, especially when dealing with children and society.
After visiting the village head's office, the Monev Team continued its activities by visiting the first location of TSM in Hamlet Mrico. The head of Dukuh Mrico said that he was greatly helped by the arrival of the Tarbiyah Suka Mengajar students. However, this TSM is expected to be longer in duration. Because the enthusiasm of the children in the village is quite large. The children felt happy to be visited and, at the same time, accompanied by TSM volunteers to learn.
Mrico Village Facilitator, Ambar, reported that the TSM program in Mrico Village is divided into four divisions: Education, religion, community and health. Each division has its work program. The Education Division provides tutoring assistance for elementary school students, carried out at the village hall from 09.00-12.00. The Education Division carries out tutoring for school materials, the addition,n of morals and nationalism, and library repairs. Meanwhile, the Social Division assists mothers with mobile applications for mothers of the community has not been able to accompany their children online. Then training was carried out using the zoom application, google meet and Gmail.
In addition to the two divisions, there is the Health Division which carries out a gymnastics plan with women, cleaning up trash on the beach, and socializing health protocols, including using masks in activities, washing hands correctly and adequately, and maintaining distance when socializing. The Religious Division also runs the program. The programs implemented include studying the Koran / TPA every afternoon from 15.30-18.00 at the mosque. During the TPA pandemic, it was a holiday, and this TSM activity was starting again. Religious competitions: adhan, memorizing prayers, short letters and coloring competitions.
Elsewhere, in Mending 3 Hamlet, the person in charge of the Hamlet Head also said the same thing: TSM students' presence gave color to children's Education during this pandemic. All the children were very enthusiastic about participating in the program. The longer program implementation time is also the hope of the person in charge of Mending Hamlet 3.
In Dukuh Mending 3, the TSM team initially made observations for two days. The Education Division provides tutoring for junior high and high school students at the house of one of the residents from 09.00-12.00. Then from 14.00-16.00, the class is continued with practicum. Practicum can be in simple science practices, Microsoft Word and PPT training. The Religious Division also carried out several work programs, such as adding morals and nationalism and making a wall magazine for mosques because the wall magazines had not been replaced for one year. The Health Division of the Dukuh Mendang 3 TSM Team also disseminated the Health Protocol to children and parents.
The monitoring and evaluation of these two TSM locations found that the learning difficulties faced by elementary, junior high, and high school students when carrying out online learning could be overcome by providing guidance or direct monitoring of the field while still paying attention to health protocols. This shows that the field of Education cannot be replaced 100% by technology, but technology can improve Education which must be accompanied by supervision either by teachers or parents. Using technology that is carried out without supervision will result in negative impacts, including parents saying that the gadgets given for learning are often used to play games or watch YouTube, so supervision is needed in this online learning.
The TSM program did not encounter any significant obstacles. I need to adjust to community activities. The people themselves are creative. The program that has been planned is still running, but the schedule changes due to adjusting to the community. Dr. Ibrahim, S.Pd., M.Pd, as the Head of the TSM Program, reminded us that the core goal of implementing the program is to provide superior services in the field of Education, but if it does not rule out other activities that have positive impact on the community and still comply with the protocol. Health.
